Dan Olsen

Mach Machine is a relatively new company which got its start from a dream and a strong ambition.
The owner, Dan Olsen, didn't even have formal training in machining when he set up a makeshift shop in an old industrial building in 2009; he had a mechanical engineering background. But by 2011, with Dan making prototypes for the aerospace industry, Mach Machine officially incorporated.

In Okuma, Dan found the perfect partner for his budding operation. While repeat production work and occasional prototypes were the company's wheelhouse, once Dan purchased an Okuma horizontal machining center, Mach Machine increased production efficiency dramatically, and became—in Dan's words—"difficult to compete against."

To date, Dan owns four Okuma machines, including an Okuma Crown Turning Center, an Okuma MB-5000H, and an Okuma L300. His company is now up to 10 employees, which includes his wife Angela. Now the shop can operate 24 hours a day, run multiple jobs, and deliver thousands of parts for a variety of industries. This is a testament to Dan's entrepreneurial spirit and singular ingenuity.
